The crude fiber analyzer is based on the principle of acid-base washing method. It uses a fixed amount of acid and alkali to digest the sample under specific conditions, and then uses ether, ethanol, and acetone to remove the ether soluble matter. After high-temperature burning and deducting the amount of minerals, the remaining amount is called crude fiber. It is not an exact chemical entity, but an approximate component measured under recognized mandatory conditions. It is mainly fiber, and there are also a small amount of hemicellulose and lignin. It complies with the "GB/T6434-2006 Filtration Method for Determination of Crude Fiber Content in Feed".


The FT-900 crude fiber analyzer developed and produced by Shanghai Zhiyue Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. is a fiber content detection instrument with simple operation and flexible application. It can be used for the traditional Wend method to detect crude fiber and the paradigm method to detect washing fiber. It is based on the principle of acid-base washing method, integrating acid, alkali treatment and flushing, and uses a fully enclosed electric heating, liquid addition, digestion, filtration, and flushing method to determine the fiber content. It is suitable for the determination of crude fiber in plants, feed, food and other agricultural and sideline products, as well as the testing of detergent fiber, cellulose, hemicellulose and other related parameters. The results meet the requirements of GB/T5515 and GB/T6434.


Technical indicators of FT-900 crude fiber analyzer:


1. Determination object: crude fiber content in various grains, feed, cereals, food and other agricultural and sideline products


2. Quantity of one test: 6/batch


3. Determination time: about 1.5h


4. Repeatability: crude fiber content below 10%, ≤0.4%; crude fiber content above 10%, ≤1%


Precautions for using FT-900 crude fiber analyzer:


1. According to the sample to be measured, for samples that are difficult to filter, an appropriate amount of diatomaceous earth (filter powder) needs to be added when weighing the sample. When filtering, the instrument can use the built-in backflush function to solve the problem of filtration.


2. After each acid-base digestion, the corresponding heater should be pushed back for filtration, which is conducive to reducing the high-temperature loss of key parts of the instrument.


3. During operation, pay special attention to the damage of soluble solutions such as acetone (if used) to the surface of the instrument. It is recommended to use a rag and operate carefully to minimize the dripping of the solution onto the surface of the instrument.


4. After the operation is completed, the pressure rod should be carefully lifted to prevent the crucible from falling.


5. When the crucible is burned in the muffle furnace at 500℃, do not open the furnace door immediately to take out the crucible, which will greatly reduce the service life of the crucible. Try to lower the furnace temperature to below 200℃ and take it out, preferably overnight, and naturally cool it to room temperature before taking it out.


6. After the experiment, the filtration base should be wiped clean and the digestion tube should be cleaned with clean water to prevent the residue in the pipeline from affecting the next experiment.


7. Protective equipment such as masks, goggles, and latex gloves should be worn during operation.


8. After the entire experiment is completed, if it is found that fine particles have entered the sand core crucible and are difficult to rinse, the crucible can be soaked in a hydrochloric acid solution with a concentration of about 50% for a few hours, then rinsed with clean water and dried for later use.


9. The instrument has a large power and requires a reliable grounding of the laboratory socket.


In short, safety is the first priority for the use of the instrument. The second is to carefully maintain the instrument to greatly extend its service life. The details before and after the experiment can ensure the accuracy of the results.
